Specifications and Tenders
All tenders are written differently, some and well set out, orderly and concise others require copious amounts of painful trawling through documentation to decipher what they are requesting. Sometimes there are a series of documents, sometimes just one. Very often councils use existing construction industry based tenders and contracts and attempt to apply them to conservation works. This gets very messy and requires the inclusion of irrelevant info and the exclusion of relevant info.
Please review the document below, I view it as a clear concise document that is asking all it should from contractors to make an informed decision and is also supplying all the info a contractor requires.
Take note of the specifications - specifications are the service provision (work) outcomes that the client is expecting from you. It is your job to supply a price the means you can meet these specifications as they are what your performance will be based upon and what you will be audited on.
